BREAKING NEWS: Another Gibraltar boat targeted by Guardia Civil

Another Gibraltar boat has been targeted by the Spanish paramilitary Guardia Civil. It follows the claims made earlier (on Thursday and revealed in Panorama)by a Gibraltar boat owner that his boat had been fired at repeatedly by the Guardia Civil.
Now,it has been confirmed that another Gibraltar boat has been involved in a serious incident with the Guardia Civil. The Gibraltar boat, with two men onboard, was off Europa Point in British territorial waters on Friday evening when arrested by the Guardia Civil, taking them to the Spanish port of Algeciras where they were later released.
With the Guardia Civil and Spanish fishermen making regular incursions into Gibraltar waters, and no effective action being taken by Gibraltar police and the naval authorities, it would appear that this is encouraging the Spanish authorities to take matters another step forward in claiming that the waters around Gibraltar are Spanish, said observers.
The seriousness of the latest action by the armed Guardia Civil is said to be causing great concern in political and other circles as the Spanish appear to be applying Spanish law in British waters.
